The DJM500 offers everything a DJ desires. 4 stereo channels, a microphone channel with talk-over function, extensive cue options, crossfader section with kill switches, an auto BPM counter and a built-in 24-bit digital effects unit with 46 FX presets.
Easy Operation & Control
The DJM500’s surface is very clear and efficient. The four identical stereo channel strips feature an input selector to switch the input signal between CD/line and phono. The trim control provides standard hot level adjustment, while the 3-band EQ with kill function allows massive tonal shaping. Each channel has an extremely smooth 45mm fader. An LED meter per channel monitors the input level.
Wide Channel Variety
The crossfader section also features a 45mm VCA-controlled fader. This allows blending of the two channels selected with the assign switches. The blend curve can be continuously adjusted between "linear" and "logarithmic." In addition to the kill EQs on the channels, there are also kill switches (Kill A/Kill B) available here, wired in series with the channel EQs!
Additionally, the DJM500 offers a microphone channel with level, 3-band EQ and talk-over function, an extensive monitor section with various cue modes, and a master section with meter display, 45mm master fader and surround FX control. The integrated 24-bit digital effects unit with 46 FX presets can be assigned to a specific source via a selector switch and mixed into the master signal with a level control.
Auto BPM Counter
The Auto BPM Counter allows the two channels to be perfectly matched in tempo and offset. The display shows the tempo of the track on each channel. LED chains indicate the tempo and offset difference of the two tracks, so a quick glance and a few adjustments are all it takes to sync the upcoming tracks.
